Using Millings and Hawk Seale to construct roads or parking lots 
"HAWK SEALED MILLINGS"

​Re-cycled Millings treated with
Hawk Seale Millings Blend
can make a durable long lasting surface.

In this demo we used very old dry millings and treated them with 3 applications of Hawk Seale with an equivalent total application rate of .85 to 1 gallon per square yard.
Our new Hawk Seale Millings Blend contains a binder along with an acid to to rejuvenate the old asphalt in the millings to create a bond with the aggregate in the millings.
Incorporating Hawk Seale Blend into the top 3 to 3 inches
of the millings  will make a long lasting durable roadway.

Our first "Hawk Sealed Millings Road" is now 12 years old in an industrial complex
​ and has required minimal maintenance in a very high stress traffic area.

for about 1/2 to 2/3rds the cost of Asphalt

Very old and dry Milling

Very Old and Dry Millings were used in our demo, obviously compaction is next to impossible.

Water or moisture will go right down through
​the millings into the road base causing failures.

​Millings Treated with Hawk Seale
become water resistant 

The millings on the left were added all at one time
and received 3 applications of Hawk Seale.
30 to 45 minutes was allowed before compaction was done between each application.
The millings on the right were added in layers of  
1 and half inches at a time and then sealed.
Each application of Hawk Seal was allowed
30 to 45 minutes before being compacted.
We tested for water repelling after 7 days
which the full cure time for Hawk Seale
Notice the water puddling on top of the millings.
